What is the best thing about your Apprenticeship experience?
Having received exposure to both the power producer, by way of the Pasadena Power Plant, and the power consumer, via the Wells Fargo Center has provided me with a well-rounded introduction to the objective of managing energy effectively. I find principles and practices that prove to be practical in my everyday life.
What has this apprenticeship meant to you? Your family?
This apprenticeship has been an experience that serves as a foundation for a career. Whether the economy is weak or strong, I have confidence in knowing these buildings cannot operate on their own and my experiences bring value to the operation of those buildings.
Advice for new Apprentices.
I would advise any new apprentice to take advantage of the opportunity to take classes at LA Trade Technical College while they are offered at no cost to the apprentice. I would also stress that every class will prove to be useful at some point in their career. All advise is good advice when it is provided to protect your life and livelihood.
Advice for those considering Apprenticeship.
Learning a trade puts you in a position to use skills that will always be in need. Choosing this trade makes you a vital part of the city’s growth.
